HAPPY Turkey Day!!

First off (that's right, for my majorly original greeting I totaly skipped a greeting, whatchagonnado?), Happy slightly-belated Thanksgiving to those who celebrate Thanksgiving. I'll you a recap of mine super quick. 1) get up 2) help mommy while also staying out of here way 3) stay completely out of the way while getting around 4) help with final touches (fist thanksgiving at our house, everyone very excited/nervous) 5) cousins/aunt arive 6) prayer/setting out the rest of the food they brought 7) eat until we feel like dying 8) sit and moan about said eating 9) play "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" DVD game (we were... once out of 4) 10) whine that the winning teams questions were waaay easier 11) even though still unbelievably full eat dessert 12)watch NCIS 13) watch the mentalist 14) say goodbyes/talk 15) say goodbye to relatives and hug 16) flop onto couch still complaining about full we are and complimenting ourselves/our relative on our/their awesome cooking skills.
Black Friday is always a light day for me since neither my mother nor I feel the need to get up at 3am and shop so I slept til 1pm and then got around/lazed about and went with Sissy at like 6. I got a little new make-up so that made the trip worth it. I got 50 more dollars worth of benefit (Boing (aka concealer) and posietint (which is hard to explain so if you're interested just look it up okay?)) and a $7 mascara from Victoria's Secret (I oathe this store to my very core but their make-up is pretty good and very reasonably priced).
Okay so speaking of Vikki's Secret's make-up I have a question: Why is it that the fact that Heidi Klum helped make it a big deal? Personnally I don't see that as a good thing She's a model, model's aren't exactly famous for their minds you know? So mostly I just find it worrisome. But whatever.
Well I just wanted to check in. Oh and I decided I was going to take a leaf out of Michael Buckley's book (double points to you if you know who that is) (also sorry if I slaughtered you name Mr. Buckley) and have comment questions here at the end so that you all will comment.
Comment Questions:
1) Do you watch any particular YouTube shows, if so who/what? And why?
2) Do like our Blog or not? Do think we're awesome or annoying? Fab or flop? great or hate? Come on people give me something!
3) How was your Thanksgiving? What did you do?
4) Do you all like Benefit make-up?
Barry
PS as always will attempt to edit later so leave that alone eh?

The Twilight Awesomeness (and other things I talk about!)

Dudes You'll Never Guess!
I saw the Twilight movie yesterday! (Jen was there too but she's not here now so I'll just tell you what I thought) I think it's the best book-turned-movie I've ever seen. They may not have cast it perfect (*coughJasperSUCKScough*) but over all they did really well (perfect Bella, really good Edward, Emse was taken straight from my head, etc... except Carlise... he looked to... sneaky I think, i don't I'm weird like that), I was majorly impressed! Actually I'm still on a little bit of a buzz from it. Edward was the casting that, orginally, worried me the most but from the first time he did that little half smirk half smile (I call it a smirkle but I couldn't expect you all to know that!) I knew he was perfect! I cannot wait for number 2! Also I kind of hope it comes out on a Saturday so I can go see the midnight showing... but if not there's gotta be a way to be up until four and still be at school by eight... oh right... it's called cofffee!
So anyway, you guys know Jen and I write fanfiction so I don't feel like a total nerd telling you this. I just finished my first multichaptered story on there. I've working on it for almost a year and it's 23 chapters long. It's called the Lioness Diaries and it's really loosely modeled after the Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot (like really loosely... like I used the same format and nothing else loosely) and I don't feel braggy telling you all this because I don't figure that many people read our blog, I love it. I think it's funny (I wrote it and it still makes me laugh)and original, and odd-in-cool-ish-way. It has (as of this morning) over 11000 hits and 106 reviews (all good, in case you were wondering) one reviewer wrote, and I quote, "It was an absolutely wonderful way to end the story. Very much looking forward to the sequel. Reading this always felt like listening to a friend tell her stories, something that I liked about it. Can't wait for the sequel!" I actually like hopped around in my desk chair for joy when I read that! it was so unbelievably nice (and it was from someone who's been reading since like the fourth chapter, so that made it extra nice).
I don't know I just wanted to talk for a while... I'm going to leave all my Christians friends with this (non Christians if you're offended by my faith you are on the wrong blog and this next part will probably freak you out so... sorry)
A verse in the Bible talks about the truth in love, in our society the emphasis of this verse has been shifted to the truth, I think the emphasis should be moved back to the love. The two most important commandments (and Jesus said this but I'm paraphrasing) Love the your GOD with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. Not tell your neighbor when they're screwing up any time they do so you should confront them about it. Confrontation has been made so much easier by technology, who needs to do awkward things face-to-face? Why not text or IM or throw it into the blog-o-sphere or email (Do you know how tacty it is to break-up/ confront anyone any of these ways? And yet people do it all the time... would it not kill you if someone broke up with you or hurt you online for everyone to see?)?
And now I leave you with a quote: "aspire to inspire before you expire".
Toodles (oh dear I just quoted HSM... I may therapy for this)
Barry
PS once again I will eventually edit these, if you see a mistake please feel free to A) let me know B) offer to beta/edit for me or C) sit quietly and let it bug you (because it doesn't bug me)

I Know Right?!

Hey ya'll --
We got another thought provoking comment. Now in it our anonymous friend said that her (possibly ex)friend was with the guy that had hurt her, which got me thinking. Now for every girl out there you will know what I am about to say and for you boys take notes. There is an unwritten, unspoken set of rules for girls (especially when it comes to each other). So I thought I could start the list and then all of you could help me in the comments (or correct me if you think I'm wrong). Here we go:
1) If a guy was a jerk to your friend there's a good chance he'll be a jerk to you, so don't make her mistakes... it'll hurt your relationship with her and it'll you in the end
2) Always keep "supplies" (come on ya'lls know just what I mean) in your purse/backpack at all times
3) Have an accountablity partner to keep you from making bad choices (this is the girl that can tell you if you're being a jerk with out you getting mad at her, she has to be someone you trust completely and who you can tell anything to and she'll take it to the grave... Jen's mine)
4) as mentioned, A relationship with a boy isn't worth your relationship with other girls (yes I mean plurally, if you hurt one girl chances are other girls will find out and take it very seriously)
5) Unless it's Halloween stay away from the fishnet stockings (there very few exceptions to this but I'm willing to admit there may be a few)
6) Chocolate is your friend, embrace it, get used to it
7) Everything in moderation (friends, fads, movies, junk food, everything everything)
8)Don't ever get a new hair cut/color right before picture day (esp. Senior pics!)

Well that's what I'll put out there and I'll give you a little dish while this. I'm writing a book about these rules. It's called the Laws of the Universe and I'm about finished with the first chapter. I know, right? Yaynes!

Speaking of 'I know, right?!' I was talking to my dad the other day and I said that and he told that he'd been wondering where I got that (I say it kinda a lot) and he'd finally figured it out. I got it from Flo (you know from the Progressive commerials?) and he's right! I totally didn't even realize that I picked it up from her, but those totally are my favorite commerials on TV right now (Wow, I know, I say it louder!... Or a big tricked out name tag) She's awesome!! Thought I'd throw that little bit of randomness in there fer ya.
Love to All, Like to Few -- Barry

PS once again un-edited, sorry I'll work on that...

So weird

Howdy --
I was reading our comments (fine comment)on Jen's last post and it was really interesting because the person said some really deep stuff (that was just slightly on the mean-ish side) but then they sent it anonymously. Like I appreciate what he (or she) said but why go anonymous? It just seemed so weird to me (hence the name of the post). In any case Jen talked about drama. And I wanted to coattail that and throw my two-cents in (as if I could ever help it!). I think that drama is everywhere. And that we all start it (hopefully by accident but I fear not), I don't think Jen was implying otherwise, and I wish that there was a way for people, girls in particular, to distance ourselves from this. I think it's time to make that choice. The choice to not start stuff and if someelse starts it to just step back. Another thing our anonymous reviewer mentioned was a thing with boys, now ladies I will not pretend to be an authority on boys (God and all of you know I am not) however I will say this: If boys are hurting your relationship with other girls, cut them out. They aren't the support system you're going to fall back on when they ditch you. And so before I move onto the more fun random bits I'll leave ya'll with this. Arms are for hugging, boys are for kissing, sluts are for dissing and friends are for when the boy is kissing the slut and all you really need is a hug.
Now that I'm done being deep (or semi-deep, this is only a blog after all) I'll tell you the reason I haven't been in a hundred and tweleve thousand years: I'm on vacation!! Woohoo! I'm in the lovely and sunny Florida, and have been since Nov. 2nd! I leave to come home tomorrow (so if you're missing me terribly hold on the wait is almost over!! haha kidding please don't think I'm an egomaniac!). I've had a wonderful time here but I miss my family and friends (HI Caleb and Jess and everyone else!) and so I'm happy to be going home too. While I here I got the most awesome amazing beautiful winter coat of all time! It's Roxy, and pink, and omigosh it's awesome! yay! I also bought... well pretty much nothing else (I blew all my money on the coat)but I did look at... well I guess we didn't shop much! I know right... so weird (thought I'd throw that in again fer ya'll). It was, and I'm not even kdding, 90 degrees here yesterday (and again today, right now actually, I just checked)!! It was amazing, like being inside and oven, and I can't say I'm terribly partial to a blazing heat. But it's all even out because I hear this Monday there is to be an amazingly huge storm at home that I'll be back just in time for... I know... yay.
Well I do suppose I've chattered enough. Comment away (and leave you name) and there's a decent chance one of us will respond to it in someway (sounds fun right? right?).
Love to Love Ya'lls
Ben
PS I'll be editing this shortly but fer now I'm posting it straight from my brain (in other words sorry about the errors/anyplace that doesn't make sense)
